|If you find this exercise hard, you will know you have some work to do.|
Many who live with chronic illness are conditioned to expect others to heal them. I know I did. We go from doctor to doctor, specialist to specialist, avoiding the very issues that we may have stifled or denied to the world since childhood. It’s easy to blame our parents for their genetics or anyone else outside of our own perfect existence. Never in a million years did we think we had the ability to heal ourselves or that our thinking and words put out a specific vibration that would attract the same energy, people, places or situations. But the truth remains the same. We aren’t perfect. We all have character traits we may have developed over the years, good and bad. You might see only the good ones and that’s okay. For now.
But upon closer inspection, whether by regular meditation or paying attention to your emotions, you might notice a negative emotion about something you’ve avoided or denied and pretended wasn’t there. Or maybe you noticed some type of destructive pattern in your life. Patterns or negative emotions regarding certain people or topics are things we have to pay attention to. Sure, the idea of the Law of Attraction (or what many people know from the highly popularized ‘The Secret’) states not to focus on negative, however, in order to change long-held beliefs and deprogram your mind and energy channels or ‘chakras,’ you have to deconstruct, understand, heal and eventually let go of any resentments, fears, trauma or pain you might have internalized. For those who do not know, there are seven chakras or energy wheels running along your body. I found it interesting to note that specifically, the heart chakra, is related to all allergies and immune system functioning. Which means our emotions are directly related to our immune system! Many naturopathic doctors are well-versed in various energy balancing techniques but once again, you cannot expect them to do this work for you. They can only recommend so much and do so much but the rest is up to you.
So How Do You Heal Your Heart Chakra?
By taking responsibility for our own role in our manifestations, we can begin to shift our consciousness and manifest what we want. Let that sink in, because I will come back to it in a later post.
Many of you might not know this, but I studied several religions, spirituality, quantum physics and the metaphysical realm since I was a teenager. Growing up as a devout and strict Christian, I felt I had to know about everything that was out there to better understand the world I was born into.
Although I’m not religious, I
started practicing a daily regimen of meditations as well as
‘psychological cleansings’ by reading several various books (one of which I had
read over a decade ago, but hadn’t let sink in..until now).
Prophecy), The Artist’s Way by Julia Cameron and Flow by Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi. Tears are a sign of cleansing of your heart chakra. That feeling you get of redemption while listening to a piece of music or reading a book about something that hit home for you. You can also listen to heart chakra meditations like this one on YouTube.
many people deem as quackery. Sometimes, it’s those who appear crazy
that have the right idea. If people experienced similar challenges that these people faced, most people wouldn’t even think of doing the impossible. Media is full of negative output, full of judgement telling everyone who they’re supposed to be. Most of it is low energy and low vibration (I will write an entire post about vibrational energy at another time). For now, surround yourself with nature and positivity as much as possible. Limit social media and try to only follow positive people, groups or posts. Create a sanctuary in your home or even simply taking your laptop and using your headphones to listen to beauty and whatever makes you happy. Preferably music without words, since words are powerful and always get into our heads, whether we know it or not.
Some examples of mine were:
I can’t eat anything.
I’m allergic to everything.
I’m so itchy.
Then you change them to positive affirmations which you should tape and play just before you sleep, such as:
I am grateful for the food that I can eat.
I have so much food I can eat.
I let go of emotions that no longer serve me and every cell in my body heals more and more every day.
Change the way you communicate to friends or family. Instead of saying I’m itchy, say ‘I don’t feel well/healthy.’ That way, you’re not exactly using a negative word. Just like when people say they’re in pain, they can replace pain with a similar phrase.
You get the idea. Not one word should be negative because energy has no filter. By changing the way you speak and communicate, you will most definitely notice a difference in your health. I know in the past couple of weeks, I definitely did. Also, pay attention to how you feel when you eat. I’m avoiding restaurants, even Chipotle and sushi because I still have that inevitable fear attached to trusting chefs and waiters with my life. That fear and anxiety does not allow for an enjoyable time for me at restaurants and not enjoying the eating process puts out the vibration to attract MORE of that nerve-wracking experience. So to facilitate my energetic healing process, I’m eating only at home. I cook my food the way I love it and learn new recipes using the most basic ingredients possible. Enjoy every morsel of every bite of food you have because the more you enjoy and celebrate things you are thankful for, the more you will receive those same blessings. Do things that make you happy; create your bucket list and make those things come true, one thing at a time. Don’t focus on your illness anymore but on becoming healed through happiness.
Before you leave this blog shaking your head, remember that miracles do happen. They can happen, if we just stop resisting and start living.
